We run a busy B&B so heating our quite large house (3,000 sq. ft. house) used to be a little bit of a problem. Oil was too expensive and our Stanley range was only able to heat 8-9 of our radiators. So we had the constant problem of only having part of our house warm and then having to turn on the Oil to heat the rest of the house when we had guests staying. This resulted in a hefty oil bill every year. We loved having a range cooker especially to help with the cooking so an outside shed boiler was not an option. A friend recommended Thermopoint and told us they had a good selection of higher output cookers. We visited their massive showroom and couldn’t believe the selection. We decided on the Senko 35 kw mainly because of the high output but also because I loved it’s modern look. I also liked the fact the hotplate on top was massive for cooking as well as a very deep oven. We weren’t disappointed. We now next to never use the oil as our Senko is well able to heat our entire house (21 rads) using a mixture of turf & wood. I am a retired plumber by trade and have to say the Senko is the most efficient boiler cooker I’ve installed and believe you me I’ve installed quite a few boiler cookers over the years. It’s definitely the best performing boiler I’ve experienced, streets ahead of the traditional brands available in Ireland. The technology involved is vastly superior in every aspect allowing for speedy heat up time as well as fuel efficiency. My better half also says it’s great for baking bread!

I put in a 35 kw Senko and delighted to say it heats my entire Dormer Bungalow without problem. I searched the market for a high output cooker and as far as I know the Senko 35 kw is the highest on the Irish and European market. I have 20 radiators in total and I reckon it would heat more if I had them. Totally delighted with the quality and performance of this product, would recommend to anybody. In fact I have recommended it to several of my friends already. Not only is it good at heating rads, it has a massive hotplate and large oven for cooking as well as providing piping hot water. An allrounder cooker if you ask me!

I installed the Concept 2 cooker I purchased from Thermopoint over 2 years ago and absolutely delighted with it. It heats 18 double radiators and that’s with turf. My previous cooker could only heat 8. Also what I noticed in comparison to my previous cooker is how fast the cooker heats up (starts heating rads within 15 mins) and also the efficiency. In fact I burn the same amount of turf as I did with my previous cooker. I also like the fact that you can see the fire which wasn’t possible with my previous cooker. It just makes the kitchen much more homely. Previous to Thermopoint there was very little selection of solid fuel cookers on the market, only a handful of fairly low output cookers. Delighted I stumbled across them as now my whole house is warm not just half of it.

I used to have a Wamlser cooker, had it for 28 years and when the boiler finally went I wanted to replace it with something similar and as good a quality. I did a bit of research and came across the Alfaplam cooker and went to view it working. I was soon informed it was made in the same factory that make the Wamsler. In fact the Alfa Term 27 cooker is a 27 kw cooker whilst my old Wamsler was only a 17 kw cooker. I was delighted with the fact it had a larger boiler (20 kw to boiler) as we had recently put a new extension onto our house which had added 3 new large double radiators. This had put quite a
bit of pressure on the old Wamsler cooker as the boiler wasn’t large enough to cope with the extra 3 rads. The new Alfa Term 27 kw cooker was well able to heat the extra rads (15 rads in total, mostly double). I was also impressed with the free prompt delivery service to Mayo.
